It’s Friday, February 25, 2011 and will be for a while.
Any minute now, I expect to get word that Libya is under new management.
See, this is one of them times when we look back and say “Yea, we should’ve whacked that guy.” I member back in ’86 when Uncle Ronnie had finally had enough of Qaddafi and had a bunch of F-111s swoop in and rain bad craziness down on Libya. The really cool part of it was that the Libyan air defenses never even got to play. Between all the electronic warfare birds (Air Force AND Navy) flying around, Libyan air defenses couldn’t lock onto the ground.
Friends of mine from Lakenheath Air Base in England said that “Libya” now stood for Lakenheath Is Bombing Your Ass.
Personally, I think we need to find a way to grab him up. Word has it now (and I don’t know how much is just propaganda) that Qaddafi had a hand in the Lockerbie bombing. I’d sure like to see him swinging at the end of an American rope.
