Gambling Shoes

It’s Thursday, March 31, 2011 and time to pay up!

Meaning it’s payday, my kind of day.

What irritates me is the fact that butterfinger is my favorite. I’m not above digging downto fetch out one, but this looks like the result of strip mining.

    1. Come the )@($*) on! We are halfway through the fiscal year and we still got no budget?

The trouble is that we got dipshits on both side more worried about the 2012 elections than the work that’s right in front of them.
Democrat, republican, independent, I gotta ask: How enthusiastic are you about re-electing ANY of these disorganized grab-asses?
    2. Okay Mister President, what the hell was that speech? I don’t go to all that trouble of laying my worries out in plain English (Monday’s blog) so you could come on national TV and make me even MORE uncertain as to what we’re doing in Libya.
Now we got a “presidential finding” that clears the way for covert ops in Libya.

      Yeah, I know.

    3. I can do without the Missoula County commissioners. These bozoa are filing suit to prevent the movemen of “mega loads” through their town. These oversize loads are pieces of an oil-sands extraction plant in Canada.
Now what? Someone forgot to take into account the effects of cole slaw in the EIS?

Isn’t that just the way it goes though? The enviro-taliban gets to say whatever it wants and the big, bad oil company has to go into court and disprove it. The enviro-douchers just have to pay their filing fee and get to do it again when they say the EIS doesn’t account for nesting guttersnipes.

It’s time for loser-pays tort reform.

    4. I can do without the fact that it’s been nigh on to 3 years since we’ve had anything akin to a vacation.

Sure, we’ve taken blocks of time off here and there, but not a “lay it back, disconnect” vacation.

Gonna remedy that though come June.

    5. Finally, I can do without having to wait 9 more days before turkey season!

I got all my stuff ready! The birds are already strutting (the Jakes are anyway) and I gotta wait a who ‘nother 9 days.
      It ain’t right, I say!

That’s it for this week’s gripes. Tomorrow, we’ll be late again, but it will be worth the wait as Christine holds forth on the dangers of raising rabbits.
