It’s Friday, January 20, 2010 and it’s great to be back in the Elim Tevir Global Command Post!

I do so dig having Fridays off. Hope I can make it the regular thing again.
But, I are sad too.
Well, not really sad, but most definitely dismayed.

In response to all the pushback involving SOPA, Texas Congressman Lamar Smith issued a op/ed piece about the legislation that he sponsored.
Apparently, we got it all wrong! Man, we’re dumb!
It seems that the more than 7 million people who signed Google’s on-line petition against the bill are being deceived by people who “have generated enormous profits from illegal websites that sell stolen intellectual property.”
The congressman goes on to point out what a bunch gullible dummies we are by adding:
“The ability to pass along rumors on blogs and social networks comes at the risk of getting the facts all wrong. ”
So rather than take the word of the more than 75,000 websites that participated in Wednesday’s blackout, we need to put our faith in our congresspeople. It’s not like they get any lobbyist money from the entertainment industry or anything. They know what’s best for us!
As a side note, if you live in Congressman Lamar’s district, you might be interested to see where he’s getting his campaign money from.

So to all you misinformed dunderheads out there, get your facts straight! Our current free, open and reliable interwebs are nothing more than a hotbed of international theft that will require the intervention of the US government to set aright.
And then, monkey will fly out of our butts.

Didn’t have a lot time to scour the web this week, so the pickings are a little slim. This being employed business sure cuts into the goofing off time.

And that’ll have to do it for this week. Tons of stuff to do today.
Have a great Friday and a great weekend! Be sure to tune in Monday when Sean will explain why being drunk entitles you to park in handicap spots.
Take us on out, RFG!
