And It’s Real Sharp

It’s Friday, February 19, 2010 and I just about had it with the Republican Party.

No, I’m not turning into a democrat or a libertarian. A couple of days ago, I got this rather official-looking letter from the RNC. Contained within was a “survey” asking for my personal input on what direction the party was going. It told me that this survey was specifically registered in my name and that I was not to throw it away.

Wow! Specifically registered to me? The letter also said that if I didn’t want to participate in the survey, I was to return it, along with $11 dollars to offset the processing costs.

???

You gottah be kidding me. You guys send me this “survey” which is nothing more than a push poll and want me to pay $11 if I choose not to participate? Go pound sand, douchebags.

The survey questions were all variations of the theme “To what degree do you think Obama sucks?” The rest was basically “How much do you support the already agreed upon platform?” This wasn’t a survey so much as some weird attempt at indoctrination. At the conclusion, the “survey” then asked for a donation, with the underlying message being; “Send us money or we won’t look at your responses.”

Look dummy, I’m a conservative. The Republican Party has wholesale abandoned people like me in favor of some witless attempt to be “more inclusive.” No! I’m not gonna stand by while the core principles are diluted so as to be more palatable to more people. I damn sure ain’t gonna send you $11 dollars (or any amount) to help.

The Republican Party needs to do what it did during the Reagan years and that is to demonstrate why conservative values are better, not change the values to where more people will accept them.

I have many anger with the Party. Asking me for dough right now is about the dumbest thing they could have done. If Michael Steele would have been in my kitchen when I finished reading that garbage, I’d have punched him out. These assholes let Obama get in the White House and let the democrats control Congress.

You don’t get paid for that; you get Karate Man!

In other news, Tiger Woods soars back to the top of “Things I Don’t Care About.” So, the guy cheated on his wife? Other than her, whose business is this? I didn’t care about him before the news of this broke and I see no reason to care about him now. So why is this guy getting pushed into my face just about every news site out there? Heck, even the Billings Gazoo has him up top.

In other new, it looks like the fight over the Skyview Speech and Debate classes might not be as done a deal as we’d initially thought. It seems that at least one board member recalls being told by Superintendant Copps that none of the approved cutbacks would result in reduction in student offerings in the coming school year. Someone doesn’t seem to be telling the truth. Check the talk on the FaceBook page.

Short blog today. Just not much into it.

And we see that the creative staff has gotten an early start on the weekend.

Be safe, stay warm and we’ll see you back here on Monday.
