It’s Sunday, September 11, 2011 and I remember.
It’s 10 years since Islamic terrorists murdered nearly 3,000 people on our soil.
Lots of people feel compelled to say or write lots of words about it today. There’s words of loss and of heroism. Words of where we were and what we were doing when it happened. Words of how we felt then and how we feel now.
And that’s fine. It’s appropriate.
I myself had pecked out a lengthy essay, with words of all these. I’d been working on it for days.
It was a pretty good one.
After reading through the final version, I leaned forward, did a Crtl+A, Delete.
Instead, I’m just gonna say this:
We’re still here.
